“I don't usually put signs in my yard, but the current administration's treatment of people trying to build a life in the USA while working toward citizenship is concerning. I've felt uncomfortable being out alone, aside from going to work, and have been carrying my passport, which shouldn't be necessary. As a child, I've been considered Hispanic, and I have no issue with that - Hispanic people do have European ancestry. However, I've lost trust in those who support this behavior. I'm tired of explaining my life as a Sicilian deaf woman with yellow skin. I want to thank those who have reached out; it means a lot.”
