TAKEN HERE is an independent, grassroots remembrance project from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Its markers offer a public way to remember people and families affected by immigration enforcement.

A TAKEN HERE marker does not mean someone was detained where it stands. It marks a home, business, or community space that refuses to let people and families affected by immigration enforcement be forgotten.
You do not have to know someone who was detained, and the detention does not have to have happened on your street. The marker is a public act of remembrance.
